The annual wind-up dance of the Ngongotaha Basketball Club was held on Friday evening. Excellent music was supplied by Mr. Epi Shalfoon's Melody Boys. A Monte Carlo was won by Mrs. Barrowman and Mr. L. Mareroft. A card tourney for nondancers was won by Miss Nellie Fisher and Mr. C. Burrows. The committee comprised Miss Hazel Matthews, blaclc georgette and lace; Miss Colleen Cronin, floral georgette and coatee; Miss Dallas Cronin, black and white spotted georgette; Miss Marie Cronin, green moire satin; Miss Nellie Fisher, royal blue velvet; Miss Elsie Fisher, black velvet ; Miss Gladys Patterson, betty blue satin and coatee; also present were Mrs. E. G. Guy, black georgette and coatee; Mrs. C. Managh, nile green satin and coatee of velvet; Mrs. P. Cronin, floral georgette; Mrs. S. Matthews, brown erepe de chine; Mrs. D. Sinclair, black satin; Mrs. J. Moule, fawn crepe de chine; Mrs. A. Davies, black satin and floral coatee; Mrs. J. Barrowman, black taffeta; Mrs. W. Costello, red embossed taffeta.
