Sydney, Sept. 23. The following are wool prices curent at the past week's saies at Sydney : — • Mcrino greasy flcece, hest, to 19d; good, 14vl to 15d; average, 12d to 18d; ditto, nearly free of burr, hest, 16d to 18d; good, lld to 14I-d; ditto, iiglit, seedy or burry, skirts, good, 18d to 14d, average, lld to 12d; inferior, Od to lOd; ditto, burry, good, lld to 1 1 Ad ; average, 9d to lOd; inferior, 7id to 8id; lambs, hest, to 15d; good, 8d to 9d; average, 4d to 6d. The first New Zealand sale will be held at Auckland on December 2. The possibility of limiting the catalogue is mentioned, although this point has not yet been considered. It is not usual to limit the first few saies, but it may be neeessary owing to the heavy carry-over from previous years. If prices in London continue to rise heavy offei'ings are bound to come forward at the opening New Zealand saies.
