THE WEATHER
The Government meteorolopist lssued the following weather report and forecast Iast niffht: — General situation: An anti-cyclone still covers New Zealand and a shallow depression is centred in the Western Tasman Sea. Forecast: Winds, variable at first, but light to moderate northerlies still prevailing and freshening gradually. Weather: Fair to fi'ne and mild at first, but haze and cloud increasing; later, showers developing in the far north. Following are the barometer, maximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
