ILLICIT STILLS SUPPLY SOME WELLINGTON HOTELS. A correspondent of the Nelson Speetator asserts that he has firsthand information that illicit stills have been operating in the Marlborough Sounds for years past, and that large quantities of whisky have found their way to hotelkeepers of Wellington. It is stated that the police have suspected the existence of these stills, but have been unable to locate them. The production of "Hokonui" whisky in Southland is too well known to need comment.
