(To the Editor). i .r, — The electors of Rotorua are a long suli'ering people, and are likely to let slip any opportunity that may be brought forvard for the benebt o'" our town. I am pleased, there■'ore, that your recent correspondents >n ihe abovo subject have made the oru|-os. 1 that our membcr should be ■q nointed a Minister of the Crown. CtuiaiP poitfolios have been mentioned. sui.able for our member, any of which ho would, I feel sure, fill with ability. Mind you, sir, I do not wish to suggcst anything that may prevent him from taking any of the 'ortfolios already mentioned, but seeing that this district is the hub of the ihermal districts, and comes under •he Tnternal Aifairs Department, I think Ihe porffolio governing that Ueeai iment. would be very suitable for aim to hold. I have an idea that it may not be •ong before our member is elevated ■ o ministerial rank, and I think, in the interests of his constituency, that iie should, whiie in W ellington atauuiing the forthcoming session, see ihat his valuable services are re.logaiseu. Iloping that some abler I en:'. than mina will take this subject * y., and g'ive our member all the sup"ort the.v can. — I am, etc.
