MADE FROM OLD MXLKCAN. Use an old 20-gallon milkcan. Cut out a piece from the side measuring 20 inches hy 22 inches, leaving ahout ' 6 inches at the hootom end of the can, i and ahout 3 inches at the lid end. tj Drill and half-inch' hole through the centre band round the can, directly opposite the centre of the aperture. Fix lid on securely. fl To erect, turn can upside down and holt it to a suhstantial and sound post, with a clearance of ahout one foot from the ground, facing the can in such a direetion that the prevailing winds will not blow rain into it. To prevent the can from swinging ahout on the holt, either hollow out the face of the post or nail a batten down each side of th'e post close against the can.A thin layer of concrete cement on the top and in the lid will make the can rust-proof and rain-proof.
