FUNERAL OF VICTIMS
SjrGney, Sept. 20. j The funeral of the air victims, ! Captain Haiden and Dr. Hamilton to- j day was most impressive. A memor- j ir.l service was held at the Church j of lingland Grammar School, of which ihe viriims were old boys, and there weie many car loads of beautiful wrcallrs, which later were. transf erred to the cemetery. There was an enormous crowd. Aeroplanes circled in formation overhead and thc-y dipped a salute. The pilots of the maehines were former close fricnds of the dead airmen. The officiating clergyman, Canon Howard Lye, paying a tribute to the dtceased said tliat these two men had beautiful modesty. Captain Holden in particular was a very gallant man, and he would have made a wonderful conquest of the air. The third victim, Mr. Virtue, was • buried at Lismore, his home town, yesterday.
