The Government meteorolopist issued the foHowing weather rep">rt and forecast Iast niffht: — General situation: There is iittle change in pressure distribution; barometers are high to the south, whiie to the north shallow depressions continue to pass. Forecast: Winds between southeasterly and north-easteriy, light to moderate, but fresheni'ng at times in exposed positions. Weather: Fine in western district and the far south; eisewhere still cloudy and overcast with misty rain in placea, but improving; temperatures moderate, Following are the barometer, maximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government. Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist tbepartment for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 SATURDAY Barometer 29.972ins. Thermometer (max.) 58.8deg. Thermometer (min.) 51.4deg.
