"The Road to Reno" opens j at the Grand Theatre on Thursday, j September 22. | In revealing filmland's answer to j this intriguing questioli, "The Road to j Reno" has a cast of favourites headed ! by five who are of stellar rank — j Charles "Buddy" Rogers, Peggy Shannon, Lilyan Tashman, William Boyd . and 'Irving Pichel. > Pichel is the quiet, home-loving husband of Lilyan Tashman, an ultramodern woman who is seeking .a divorce in Reno for no less a reason than that it seems to be a smart and fashionable thing to do. Peggy Shannon is their daughter and "Buddy" Rogers is the young college graduate who falls in love with Peggy. In Reno, where most of the action occurs, Peggy meets William Boyd, an about-to-be-divorced roue, whose blandishments niakes her forget, for the moment, the handsome and seri-ous-minded Rogers. The romance of the young couple seems to be headed for the rocks, when Boyd transfers his affeetions from Peggy to Lilyan. This complication brings about a crisis in the lives of all concemed and draws the action to a prospect of happiness. Comedy honours of the production are captured by Skeets Gallaghei*.
