BOOM IN GOLD SHARES
Melbourne, Sept. 16. The shares of the Granites Goldmining Company, which are paid up to £1, rpse to £42 on the Stock Exchange. This spectacular jump followed reports that options have been secured ove.r 14 leases by the gold prospeeting party. These shai'es were. £18 at the close of business on Wednesday and £40 on Tuesday.
