A BUSY WEEK
The past v/eek has been a very busy and at the same time a very enjoyable one in Rotorua basketball circles. No less than three. representative matches have been played away from Rotorua and of these, two were won and one lost. On Saturday last the return match was played against Training College, at Auckland, and Rotorua again went down by 16 goals to to.n. The girls under the management of Mrs. Walker, thoroughly enjoyed both the trip and the game and speak in enthusiastic tcrms of the hospitality that was extended to them. On Saturday also, a Rotorua team under the management of Mrs. Shearer, went to Thames and after a very interesting game came through winners by 30 goals to 21. They also had complimentary remarks anent the many kindnesses shown to them. Opotiki will play a return visit on September 28 and Matamata is sending two teams to Rotorua on September 24. Thames are also keen to send a team here this year, but it is not yet eertain if the fixture can be arranged.
