COMMISSION HAS LITTLE FAULT TO FIND
— By Telegraph.-^ Copyrlght).
Wellington, Thursday. The report of the commission which was appointed to investigate the administrative activities of the Wellington City Council, together with the recommendations of the special committee of the council appointed to consider its findings, were discussed at a special meeting of the council. Memhers generally agreed that the commission had found little fault with the administration of the council or its officers. Several councillors expressed the opinion that the report was of little value. Replying to the discussion the Mayor, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, said that to his mind the fact that the report disclosed. little was not a matter, for dissatisfaction, but for extreme satisfaction. He was very happy with - the report. Although it contained little new information the officers had been supported by the commission, as almost everything they had previously proposed had been in turn recommend- . ed by the commission.
