MR. DOWNIE STEWART IS RETICENT IN LONDON

Lomdon, Sept. 14. On his arrival .at Southampton' in the Berengaria, Mr. W. Downie Stewart said that his stay in England was uncertain. Ho declined to discuss his financial mission. He was met by prominent New Zealanders and Australians, including Sir Thomas Wilford, Sir Charles Holdsworth and Mr. S. M. Bruce, and representatives of the four New Zealand produce boards, also Sir Harry Batterbee, on behalf of the Donliilions Ofnee, who welcomed the party on arrival at Waterloo. Mr. Stewart is in normal health and stood the voyage well.
