Tobaeeo played its part in eonnection with the Great Plague of London in 1665. Popys mentions in his famous "Diary"' seoing plague-stricken houses mavked with a red eross. He got so frightened later than he states: "I was forced to buy some roll tobacco to smell and to clean. This toolc away the apprehension." Ho esoaped infeetion! Even in that day tobacco was valued as a disinfectant. But it is more efllcacious smoked than "ohaued." Of course the purest tobacco is best for disinfecting purposes just as it is for ordinary use. And the purest tobacco in the world is our own New Zealand "weed." Owing to being toasted it is practically without nicotine and famous alike as a disinfectant and a smolcing tobacco. Sweet, pure, mellow and fragrant, it appeals to all smolcers. It is not only cheaper than some brands that could be mentioned but infinitely better and safer. Four brands only: Riverhead Gold, Navy Cut No. 3, Cavendish and Cut Plug No. 10. Don't accept substitutes. Above are the only toasted tobaccos. * i
