Salvation Army Service.
More than £55,000 a year is required for the maintenance of Salvation Army social institutions in New Zealand. During the last 12 months the Salvation Army has provided 1,500,000 meals and 500,000 beds for needy people in the Dominion. Admissions to the Army's industrial homes during the past year total 2862 persons. Oificial records show that Salvation Army soup kitchens and food depots are aiding about 2,200 people a week.
