The Morning Post Rome correspondent says that statistically the most successful among big nationS in diminishing unemployment, whieli _is now under the million mark, is Italy. Italy is preparing to keep down the number in the coming winter. Orders bave been given to provide all work possible. Motor roads are being constructed from Genoa, where new works are in progress, making it the best equipped port in the Mediterranean and the centre of the transAtlantic traffic to North and South America. Venice, Florence, Naples and Milan and other important towns are providing employment for thousands. Rome, at present, has 6000 employed in street improvements.
