An mterestmg lact m connection the sale of Phar Lap's full-sister, Nea Lap>, to Mr. J. H. Whitney, of New York, is that it is conditional upon delivery of the mare in America. The mare is now at Trentham in charge of B. Tonge, formerly of Hawke's Bay, and will be shipped to America at an early date. Nea Lap is to be accompanied on the trip by Mr. J. J. Gatenby, of Hastings, in whose colours she has done all her racing, and the precaution of having her insured has already been taken. The purchase price of Nea Lap is 10,000 dollars (£2000 at par), and Mr. Gatenby will have good reason to rejoice in her purchase as a yearling for 60 guineas.
