Master Lu's Trouble.

Last year's Great Northern Steeples winner, Master Lu, did not strike his best form during the winter just passed, and after the Wellington meeting he developed soreness in the shoulder. On returning North he was lightly blistered, and the treatment appears to have had the desired effeet. ilt is reported to be the intention of Master Lu's connections to keep him going throughout the season, and he is at present doing light work on his owner's farm in the Thames district. He is now eleven years old, hut has not had a strenuous racing career, for he was a five-yeai*-old before he made his first appearance in public. All going well in the interim, he will be seen out in hurdle races during the summer meetings.
