MILITARY BALL

ENJOYABLE DANCE RECORD CROWD ENSURES 1 SUCCESS OF EVENING DELIGHTFUL DECORATIONS i Oue of the most successful dances held during the season was the ball given by the Rotorua Vickers Gun section of ths Hauraki Regiment held last Thursday. The ball drew visitors from all parts of the district and quite apart from its success as a soeial function, drew one of the largest crowds of the dancing season. Everyone was in dancing mood and assisted by the comprehensive arrangements of an exeellent committee, everything went with a swing from first to last. The decorations artistically combined the ieffects of coloured lighting and the soft tones of green foliage with the gay colour of flags and the regimental colours. The supper-rooms were fragrant with spring flowers and during tbe supper interval, Miss K. Hall p'layed several delightful extras. The Monte Carlo included in the programme was won by Miss M.
