MINISTER PASSES OVER PROTEST
Wellington, Monday. The Acting Minister of Public Works, the Hon. C. E. MacMillan, has giVen consent to the erection of a toll gate at the proposed bridge at Paramata to give shorter access to Plimmerton and the surrounding district. At the recent conference of the North Island Motor Union, a strong protest was voiced against the proposal to authorise this toll-gate.
