Mv, and Mrs. M. Carew, of Rotorua, left yesterday on an extended tour of the United Kingdom and the Con- . tinent. They first proceed to Australia j and thence to England spending the winter in the French Riviera. Summer will be sp'ent in England and they expect to return in about 18 months. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. McKay, of "Wellington, are among those. at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. Hounsell, Miss Waters, and Mrs. Firth, of Auckland, are among those at Grande Vue. Miss B. Rogerson, of Auckland, is among those at Brents Bathgate House. Mr. C. W. Wilkinson and Mr. H. Jorgenson, of Auckland, are at Lake House Hotel. Mr. McCoskrie, of Hamilton, Mr. F. Macfarlane, of Wellington, Mr. A. A. Aley, Mr. C. Aley, and Mr. E. Paice, of Auckland, are at the Bungalow. Mr. and Mrs. Lightbourne and Miss Lightbourne, of Auckland, are staying at Grande Vue. Mr. P. S. Gleeson and Mr. J. G. Gleeson, of Auckland, are at the Grand Hotel. Mr. J. S. Jessep, of Wellington, and Mr. A. Edwards, of Hamilton, are staying at Brents Bathgate House. Mr. N. S. Campbell, Mr. E. J. Campbell, of Pukekohe, are among those at Lake House Hotel. ! Mrs. Wickes, of Auckland, is at ' the Bungalow.

Rhodes, of Auckland, are staying at Lake House Hotel. Professor D. H. Glassinapp, Mr. D. Lawford and Mr. W. Wain, of Auckland, are staying at Brents Bathgate House. Mr. and Mrs. Grey, Mr. Read and Mr. Booth, of Auckland, are staying at Grande Vue. Miss M. Earp and Miss I. Brown, of Pukekohe, Miss M. B. P'arr, of Marton, and Miss E.
