Detroit, Sep. 3. Kaye Don after the race, issued the statement: "This is the greatest race in which I have ever driven. I enjoyed it immensely. The conditions were such that they made it somewhat dif$ ficult for the competitors. Nevertheless, during the third lap we developed two troubles, the first the triple conttol of the carburetter on the starboard engine became fietached and only the port engine was working after the third lap. The overflow pipe for water cireulation pulled out and we shipped water into the boat in» steajj of overboard. "I want to offer xxiy sincerest cont gratulations to Gar Wood on his xnagnificent victory. I aixx looking forward with enthusiasm to the race on Mohday."
