NO ESTIMATE OF WORKLESS BOYS MADE BY MR. SMITH New Plymouth, Thursday 1 Mr. S. G. Smith, M.P., denied esti 1 rnating the number of unemployei 1 boys as 20,902 as discussed in ai " Auckland message. He said that al " the committees in New Zealand hav not completed their rscords and ar not in a position to say how man; boys are workless. The confusion ha arisen probahly from the statemen j that 16,467 boys had left public school last year. Of that number 1358 wer - going to their homes and the destina s tion of 1,544 was not known. i, Mr. Smith and Mr. A. E.
