Opotiki Jazz Club

The Opotiki Jazz Club held their usual dance in the Farmers' social rooms on Saturday evening. The music was supplied by the Semla Or

chestra and Miss M. Looney played an extra. The lady members present were: — Mesdames G. Vanstone, Haywood, Misses D. Burret, Z. Gordon, J. Kirkbride, F. Sydenham, M. Holloway, N. Kemp, C. Payne, M. Looney. W. Looney, N. Tyrie, Tancred and P. Holloway. Road Blocked The Public Works Department advises that the Opotiki-Gisborne Road, via the Waioeka, is at present blocked by slips. All service cars have to use the Motu Road, as it will be at least Tuesday night before the slips are removed.
