' NEW NAME SUGGESTED ON ACCOUNT OF VARIATION Auckland, Tuesday. In the opinion of Dr. Neale, secretary of the Chamber of Commerce, who returned from Australia to-day, the time has arrived for new namss to he given to Australian and New Zealand pounds. While in Sydney he found many people confused through trying to add or subtract the values of the English', Australian, and New Zealand pounds, with the result that some erroneous impressions were abroad. As the permanent depreciation of Australian currency seiemed assured a change of name should be helpful.
