VICTORIOUS TOURISTS EXTENDED WARM WELCOME

Auckland, Tuesday. Seven members of the New Zealand hockey team which was unbeaten in Australia returned to-day. The captaln, R. Munro, said their success was due chiefly to the team spirit. The tour was a little too stremxous- the grounds being exeeptionally hard. The Australian crowds treated the team well and their hosts treated them very hospitably. It is likely that an Australian team will visit New Zealand next year. The Wellington and southern members of the team arrived at Wellington by the Zealandia from Sydney. The team and the manager, Mr. Holland, wero warmly received. The welcoming party included Mr. S. B. Browne, chairman of the management comittee of the Wellington Association, and Mr. H. Hatch, senior Wellington selector. An official welcome was extended by Mr. H. C. Faulke, president 'of the Wellington Association and vicepresident of the New Zealand Hockey Association,
