MORE AUTONOMY WANTED. Londoii, August 12. Welsh Nationalists at their meeting at Brymnawr are considering a resolution for the establishment of an independent Welsh Republic. Other resolutions range from the nationalisation of basic Welsh industries to mild claims that taxes should not be paid unless the forms are printed in Welsh, and that there should be a recognition of Wales on the Union Jack, Royal Standard, and British coinage. When the demand fpr greater autonomy is gaining strength, only a few , extrcmists want independence. The Nationalists mostly pride thcmselver on their lovalty to the Orown. |
