-By Telegraph — Copyright).
Rec. Aug. 29, 5 p.m. Rugby, August 28. Departmental officials are already closely engaged in perfecting the machinery necessary for implementing the Government's policy of which the Ottawa decisions now form a part. The conference delegates in a general survey, assert that the conference represents an impottant advance, and registers a degree of success far beyond anything expected before they left England. . It is reeognised that a general return of confidence among traders and purchasers still remains an essential need of the present situation. In their view, however, the success of the conference has an important' bearing on broader questions, and in/ particular on the prospects of the ap4 proachiiig world ecoftomic conference/ The ability of the British Commori-^ wealth to influence that conference* would have beCri wealcened if riot de-, stroyed by a failure to progress to- ' wards a solution of the Commonwealth's own prohlems.
