Invercargill, Saturday. The basketball tournament concluded this afternoon in the Garrison Hall. Rain had set in at two o'clock after a week's perfect weather, necessitating a change of location. Otago 17, beat Southland 15, and won the championship after an exciting match. Wellington 22 beat Auckland 19. Hawke's Bay 15, beat South Canterbury 14. Points scored: Otago 16, Wellington 14, Auckland 10, Southland 10, Canterbury 10. In an inter-island match North 21, beat South 19.
