MEETING OF CABINET
PROROGUING OF PARLT. Rec. Aug. 28, 6.30 p.m. London, August 27. "Ottawa more than fulfils hopes," declared Mr. Stanley Baldwin in a broadcast speech. He added that the agreement > will help the Dominions materially and react favourably on British trade. In this connection, Cabinet sat this morning and in the afternoon, and discussed the Ottawa agreement and the position regarding Ireland. There is a possibility that Parliament will be summoned before October 27. Mr. Ramsay MacDonald and Mr. J. H. Thomas are flying to Balmoral on Monday to report to His Majesty.
