CONTINUATION OF BOYCOTT AROUSES GRAVE ANXIETY

Rec. Aug. 25, 8.10 p.m. Slianghai, Allgust 25. The boycott situation is exceedingly grave. The Japanese are reported to be combining to take action against the terrorism of Chinese groups enforcing the boycott. The Japanese naval landing party issued a statement allaying the anxiety amongst the Japanese civilian residents, all of whom are now preparing to return to the city, assuring them that ample precautions will be provided. It is not expected that the boycott movement will attain full force until after the publication of the League Commission's report on September 15
