LAST WEEK'S VALUES AT WESTFIELD EASILY SUSTAINED

Auckland, Wednesday. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report as follow upon their Westfield sale held yesterday: — Beef cattle eame forward in larger numbers and competition was keen. Last week's values were easily sustained. We quote: — Ox beef, 15s to 21s per 1001bs; cow and heifer, 14s to 20s per 100 lbs; steers, £4 10s to £8 12s 6d each; cows and heifers, £2 10s to £6 2s 6d each. Sheep sold readily and values were very firm. Wethers brought 12s 6d to 16s 6d; ewes, 9s to 13s 3d; and hoggets, 9s 6d to 13s 6cl. Calf values were firm. Runners brought £2 10s to £3 12s; vealers, £1 6s 4d to £2 12s. Pig values were firmer. Choppers brought £2 to £3; haconers, £1 18s to £2 10s; and porkers, £1 6s to £1 16s.
