Auckland en route to Whirinaki. The function took the form of a handkerchief evening and, at an appropriate interval, Mr. F. Isaacs asked the guest of honour to accept the gifts with the good .wishes of all present. Mr. J. Lee thanked the friends on Miss Cave's behalf. A very amusing and interesting musical competition was won by Miss Cave while Mr. Norman Webb was the winner of a clever telegram competition. Ping-pong was very popular, and some exciting and fast games were played, Mr. Artdrews prDving to be the winner of the competition. Among those -present to wish Miss Cave "au revoir" were Mr. and Mrs. Franeis, Mr. and Mrs. Andrews, Mrs. Morell, Mr. F. Isaacs and Mis M. Isaacs, Miss Loma ;Cave, Miss L. Ellis,. Miss L.
