Rec. Aug. 24, 7.0 p.m. London, August 24. -The Daily Express says that Amy Johnson (Mrs J. A. Mollison) is planning to make, in Septembe'r, the first Atlantic flight west, ever made by a woman. She says that she will probably fly solo, though Captain Saul tried to persuade her to take a heavy passenger machine, so that he could go as navigator. "Jim, my husband, will be against it," she said, "but I hope to persuade him to agree." It is gathered that Mrs Mollison wants to fly next year from New York to Croydon and thus be Ihe Jkst_woman to cross both ways.
