DEPARTMENTAL INSPECTION

The fishing waters of the lake region were inspected during this week by the Under-Secretary for Internal Affairs, Mr. Malcolm Fraser, and Mr. J. Bennett, of the head office. They were m'et by the Conservator of Fish and Game, Mr. A. Kean, on Tuesday and given a thorough insight into the operations of the department in this part of the Dominion. They left on their return journey to Wellington on Friday.
