Rec. August 21. 5.5 p.m. St. Johns, N.B., August. 20. Four new aviation records were created by Mr. Mollison. The first to fiy westward solo over the Atlantic the shortest time land to land westward, the first trans-Atlantic flight in a light plane, and the longest duration flight in a light plane. Mr. Mollison expressed satisfaetion at being able to refute the statements of sceptics, who maintained that a plane of 120 horse power and with a cruising speed of 110 miles

an hour, could not oppose Atlantic conditions. Mr. Mollison announced that he had accepted an invitation to attend the fourth annual Canadian air pageant at Montreal. He expects to start for there when he has flown to New York.
