ngongotaha branch fl monthly meeting fl held fl INCREASING ACTIVITY fl The usual monthly meeting of the ■ Ngongotaha branch of the Women's ■ Division of the New Zealand Farmers' fl Union, was held in the local hall on fl Friday last. fl , In the absence of the president, fl Mrs. Flory, Mrs. H. M. Martin, vice- fl president, occupied the chair. Be- fl tween 30 and 40 members were pi'e" fl sent. fl The district visitor reported that fl several cases of distress had been fl visited and investigated, and cloth- fl ing supplied where necessary. fl During the afternoon a large nuffl- fl ber of articles of clothing, made hy fl the members, were handed in f°r fl distribution. fl A letter received from the "Morn- fl ing Post," offering assistance to fl the branch, through the medium fl the newspaper, was accepted and _a fl motion of thanks was carried unanr fl mously . fl During the afternoon light refresh- fl ments were handed round, the host- fl esses being Mesdames Wrigley, H. M- fl Martin, J. J. Smythe, W. Robinson fl and J. Burney. fl The branch is becoming increas- fl ingly active and in the near futm'O ■ promises to be of even greater value fl to the district. u
