JEALOUSY

DOCTORS WARN IIUSBANDS AGAINST THE IODINE BATTLE. Experimenters have mad1, the discovery that an excess of iodine in the olood is the primary cause of jealousy among women. The experiments were conducted by 'rominent doctors in Berlin and Dusseldorf municipal hospitals. A number of women allowed themselves to be hypnotised, and the doctors then provoked them to a state of jealousy before drawing the blood for analysis. ' Addressing each' young unmarried woman in the trance, the investigator said: "Your lover is deceiving you. I've just seen him arm-in-arm with another woman. They kissed when they said good-bye." The reaction was sometimes so startling that the doctor instantly ended the hypnotic condition. It was proved that the blood of a jealous woman often shows 100 per )ent. more iodine than those who are no1- jealous.
