AT WELLINGTON
MANY VESSELS AFFECTED Wellington, Friday. The ships in port affected by the stoppage of labour are tbe coasters Holmdale, Storm, Kapiti, Opihi and Poolta, and the scow Talisman. The ferry steamers Rangatira and Ngaio are also affected. The Picton ferry steamer Tamahine discharged and loaded last night, and was worked again to-day. Only perishable goods on the Rangitira and the Kaitoa, the Nelson boat were worked to-day. The coasters expected in port between now and Sunday are the Hawera and the Komata, the scow Kohi, the scow Awahou, and the scow Echo. The Port Waikato and the
Waimarino are also due during the week-end. The following overseas liners are due next week: — The Makura, on Monday, from San Francisco; the Maunganui, on Tuesday, from Sydney; th-e Rangitata, on Monday, from Lyttelton; the Waihemo, on August 24, from Napier; the Port Hobart on August 25, from Auckland. Work proceeded on the Wainui and the Wingatui to-day, as the workers were engaged yesterday under the old terms. The men working on the Rangatira and the Kaitoa are regular employees of the Union Steam Ship Company.
