— By Telegraph — Copyright)
Wellington, Friday. Although' there is no explicit provision in the present unemployment relief legislation or the regulations made under it to include inelibility of men on strike for relief work, it was stated officially that the policy of the Government to those refusing legitimate employment, will he that relief will not be given in any circumstances. It is questionable, in the first plaee whether strikers will be allowed to register as unemployed. In any evenfc, those registering must he out of work a fortnight before being given relief. No relief was given to the miners during the recent strike.
