Rec. Aug. 19, 7.0 p.m. New York, August 18. Eighteen hours after Mr. J. A. jllison's departure no word has sn received here as to his where:outs, or any report as to his havg been sighted, with the exception !that from the Athcania, about 550 iles west of Galway, almost 12 :ars ago. Dr. Kimball, the well-known mesrological authority, in a late weaier report, stated that although Mlison started off with even chanci of the weather indications, subsepent developments have lessened Is chances of Teaching Newfoundland, and he will not have mueh fuel io spare as he approaches the Atlantic coast. ' It is particularly unf ortunate that the low pressure area and storm along the New England coast sud[lenly gained velocity on their course »rth-east to-night. The direction of ieir travel indicate that head winds will blow directly against the aeroplane for over 800 miles with inseasing gales as the flight progressSt. Johns, August 19. Ibe weather which has been clear, ianged for the worse on Tuesday fght as Mollison is believed to be fnging his way here. At midnight ->■ wind was rising seaward, the ses were overcast, and the moon hrisible. Mr. Mollison is not existed until daylight.
