"If I were a g-irl and wanted to choose a husband," said a well-lcnown Melbourne magistrate at a Rotary gathering the other day, "I'd look out for a man who loved his pipe and lilced his glass (in moderation). Long experience on the Bench has satisfied me that men like that are broader in their outlook on life, more generous, better-tempered, easier to live with. As for tobacco I am convinced it does much to promote a spirit of harmony in the hcme." (Prolonged applause). Yes, tobacco gets plenty of bouQuets thrown at it nowadays, but to be worthy of them it should be of prime quality. Are the imported brands always like that? No! Sometimes they are full of nerve- destroying, heart-affecting nicotine. The New Zealand .bacey is the best. The toasting (or roasting) of the leaf ltills the nicotine in it, leaving it absolutely pure and quite innocuous. Four brands only: Riverhead Gold, Navy Cut No. 3, Cavendish and Cut Plug No. 10. For flavour and aroma they challenge the 1 world!
