i. — By Telegraph — Copyrlght) .
Rec. August 17, 7 p.m. Sydney, August 17. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith has informed the New Zealand Press Association that owing to the strain of a seven weeks' flying tour in Queensland which he has just completed, his medical adviser forbids any xicean flights for some time, as Sir Charles, though progressing well, has not yet thrown off all the effects of last yaar's breakdown on his journey to England. The projected flighfc to New Zealand next month is therefore postponed. The airmari, definitely intends to make the venture later. Meanwhile, he is keenly disappointed as he hoped to renew many friendships he made in the Dominion and he regrets that the preparations in New Zealand for the arrival of- his 'plane will be unavailing in the meantime.
