NEW TROTTING CLUB

The recent formation of a trotting club in Rotorua marks another forward step in the development of sporting activities in the district. The registration of the club gives cause for satisfaction to the enterprising group of sportsmen who were responsible for the movement, and will make arrangements for an early meeting, plain sailing. "the new body should considerably strengthen the hand of the Rotorua Racing Club in its efforts to develop sporting matters, and to improve the Arawa Park course. There is, undoubtedly, an excellent opportunity for the formation of a trotting club in Rotorua and the new organisation will do a great deal to supplement the sporting attractions of the district. As a holiday town, Rotorua's progress can be considerably accelerated by its sporting bodies and among these the new trotting club should fill an important place.
