THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
Striking a new note in the spirit of film entertainment is "Prestige," the RKO Pathe picture which opens on Thursday at the Majestic Theatre. Melodrama spirited, fast and gripping, is the keynote of the picture ' which has a maximum of action and only the amount of dialogue necessary to its development. Characters do not stand about and tallc. They do things. It is, in every essential, a motion picture as well as a talking one, and produces a welcome change to audiences somewhat surfeited with films dependent primarily on dialogue for their effectiveness. Ann Harding has the starring role in "Prestige," with Adolphe Menjou and Melvyn Douglas sharing leading honours opposite her. Others in a well assembled cast are Guy Bates Post, Ian MacLaren, Clarence Muse,Carmelita Geraghty and Creighton | Hale.
