of Imperial settlements is likely in consequence of the conference currency repqrt. He adds that there is no possibility of anything of the sort. Mr. Bruce points out-that half the c&uses of th,e frozen meat trouhle is due to the fall in price of bacon in Great, Britain from 1/- to sixpence per 1b. The recent tremendous inflow of Danish bacon has hit mutton and lambjfiadljf. , . Great Britain's total meat imports for 1930 were as follows. — Chilled heef, 460,000 ;tons, frozen beef, 130,000 tons, mutton and lamb, 350,000 tons, pig produets, 650,000 tons.
