-By Telegraph — Copyright).
Rec. Aug. 15, 7.0 p.m. PARIS, Monday. While the German police are inaugurating a war against nudist beauty shows, the Paris authorities are taking more drastic steps. Five lorry loads of geridarmes raided the sun beach at Chois le Roi near Paris during the sunniest hours of the afternoon when the beach was crowded with naked and semi-clothed hathers. The police rushed to the, water's edge, seized dozens and hurried them dripping wet into the lorries. The sun bathers were given time to slip on trousers or frocks. Many men and women escaped by swimm'ing to boats, but their plight was worse, as all their clothes on the beach wefe impounded. The hathers will be charged with illicit bathing, the penalty for which is 20/-. Prosecution for indecency would mean six months' imprisonment.
