ADMISSION TO WEDDINGS

RIGHTS OF PARISHIONERS. It is wrong to deny a ticketless pa- , rishioner entry to a church where an ' admission-by-ticket wedding is taking place. Such iS the reply of the Legal Board of the Church Assembly to an inquiry as to the right of the incumbent to limit admission to the church to persons having tickets, particularly in the case of weddings. Tickets, the board decided, could be issued for a wedding — ticket-holders being warned to arrive at a certain time in order to ensure a seat — ^but no parishioner could be refused admission on the ground of not having a ticket. Tho board also stated that in the case of episcopal enthronsments — not f being a service which the public had > an absolute right to attend — the proper authority could issue tickets and decide who should be present.
