A message from Copalis Beach (Washington) states that Nat Browne of New York, to-day lifted his allmetal monoplane, in which he hopes to fly to Japan with a load of 50001b, from the beach here, after a mile and a-quarter run, using sandbags for weight. He hopes to complete the tests with 75001b, which is approximately the weight of fuel that will he required for his prospective flight.
