PLAY CIRCLE
"ALICE SIT BY THE FIRE." J. M. Barrie never fails to charm his readers, and members of the Rotorua Women's Club literary circle were once more charmed by another of his clever writings, "Alice Sit by the Fire." The play was read at the home of Mrs. S. Wallis, Pukaki St., last Tuesday afternoon, and to receive her guests the hostess wore a becoming frock of black lace. Those present included: Mrs. H. Bertram, Mrs. H. Davis, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. B. M. Green, Mrs. Stewart, Miss Mactier, Miss J. Hodgson and Miss H. Ford.
